Angel’s Envy Releases a Bourbon Finished in Stout and Amburana Barrels

The Angel’s Envy distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, has announced the newest entry in its experimental Distillery Series: a Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in Imperial Stout beer barrels and in Brazilian amburana wood. The recipe, created by master distiller Owen Martin, blends whiskeys aged between six and seven years; most of the liquid spends 6 to 24 months in stout barrels, while a smaller portion gets about a one-month finish in amburana, a wood known for sweet, spicy notes of cinnamon and vanilla.

It is bottled at 50% alcohol, in 18,000 bottles of 375 ml, priced at 55 dollars. The release will be sold exclusively at the Louisville distillery from September 10, 2026.

Fans of American whiskey will find a varied selection of spirits at Mister Tabaco.
