Thai Nguyen International Tea Festival 2026: nine days devoted to one of Vietnam’s most famous teas

Thai Nguyen province, one of Vietnam’s best-known green tea regions, is hosting the International Tea Festival from October 30 to November 7, 2026, under the theme “Thai Nguyen – premier tea”. The edition coincides with the 195th anniversary of the province’s founding, and the opening ceremony took place on the evening of October 30 at Vo Nguyen Giap Square.

The program includes 16 cultural, tourism, trade promotion and international exchange activities: a tea street parade, an international forum, the Vietnam Master Tea Competition, a “tea street” festival and the launch of a heritage train between Hanoi and Thai Nguyen. Organizers also showed how local tea can be used as an ingredient in 30 dishes.

The event aims to strengthen the reputation of Thai Nguyen tea and to attract tourists and trade partners from abroad.

Vietnam Approves an AI-Focused Coffee Research Institute

Authorities in Vietnam’s Gia Lai province, one of the country’s most important robusta coffee-growing regions, have approved the establishment of a dedicated coffee research institute with a $12.4 million budget.
