Tatuaje Monster Jason Redux 6: The Halloween Cigar Returns at Its 2008 Price

Tatuaje is preparing the sixth edition of its Monster Redux series, through which the brand brings its full-size Halloween cigars back to market. This year’s star is The Jason, inspired by the Jason Voorhees character from the Friday the 13th films. The cigar first appeared in 2013 under the name JV13.

The format is a long, slender 7 1/2 x 52 parejo, rolled at the My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf, while the binder and filler are entirely Nicaraguan.

The cigars are packed in coffin-shaped boxes of 13. Total production is 5,000 boxes, 666 of which are numbered, with the rest marked “XX”. One detail highlighted by the trade press: the suggested retail price stays at $13 per cigar, the same as the first Monster cigars in 2008. Shipments to US retailers begin in early October.
