American cigar brand Room101, founded in 2009, is marking its 17th anniversary with a limited edition created alongside master blender AJ Fernandez. The new “Room101 17th Anniversary” is an all-Nicaraguan puro, offered in a single 6×52 toro vitola, packaged in boxes of 20, with a suggested retail price of around $15.89 per cigar.
Unlike its predecessor, the 15th Anniversary release, which was built as a medium-bodied smoke, the new edition is considerably more powerful, aiming for a full-bodied profile. Reviewers describe a peppery, spicy opening that evolves into notes of dark chocolate, roasted espresso and earth. Since its 10th anniversary in 2019, Room101 has released a new limited edition almost every year, with a different blend each time. The cigar has already started shipping to specialty retailers across the US this month.
