Roast magazine has announced the return of its Roast Summit educational event to Portland, Oregon, on October 1-2, 2026, at The Redd on Salmon Street, preceded by a welcome gathering on September 30. The event, aimed at specialty coffee roasters, features expert-led sessions on roasting variables, thermal control, quality maintenance and regional coffee characteristics, alongside hands-on workshops with equipment demonstrations from manufacturers including Diedrich, Sivetz, San Franciscan and Loring. Daily programming runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rounded out by evening community gatherings. Sponsored by Diedrich Roasters, registration costs $250. According to founder Connie Blumhardt, the goal is “bringing the coffee roasting community together for meaningful education, conversation, and connection.”
