Description
One of the oldest brands in the country, still producing high-quality products today. The vitolas stand out for a soft, balanced bouquet, which is not very typical of Cuban products. They can be recommended for both beginner and experienced smokers alike. Hoyo de Monterrey Cuban cigars have received many gold medals, images of which adorn the emblem. The brand’s first award was won in 1867 at the Paris Exposition. Over time, this cigar brand has constantly evolved for the better, with only the packaging remaining traditional.
Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 opens with a strong dose of tobacco combined with deep aromas of damp soil and plenty of spice. After a few puffs, the cigar becomes smoother and the aromas settle. The spice fades, replaced by dried fruit and sweet floral aromas, while still remaining within the earthy profile of the cigar.
Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 grows sweeter as you smoke it. The second third is characterized by aromas of leather, honey and cocoa, with a long, creamy finish.
The final third gives the sweetness of caramelized sugar with hints of tobacco and leather in a creamy taste.
