Description
Cape Spring Chenin is a dry, refreshing white wine made from grapes grown in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, on soil made up of loam and clay. The French Chenin Blanc variety has found a second home here, adapting even better than in other countries. Today, Chenin Blanc accounts for about a third of all vineyard plantings in the country. The grapes are harvested at full ripeness. After fermenting at very low temperatures for three weeks, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. Cape Spring Chenin has excellent structure, subtle acidity and aromas of currants, green apples, wildflowers and subtle honey notes. The finish is long and refreshing.
