Davidoff is launching a new series, City Edition, made up of cigars created specifically for cities where the brand runs its own stores. The first two editions are dedicated to Las Vegas and New York and will be sold exclusively at the Davidoff of Geneva boutiques in those cities, starting November 2.
Both cigars share the same 5 1/2 x 55 format, are made at Davidoff’s factory in the Dominican Republic, and come in boxes of 10 with an image of the city on the lid. The price is $49 per cigar. The Las Vegas version has an Ecuadoran wrapper and binder and a Dominican filler aged in a wine cask, rated three out of five on the brand’s strength scale. The New York version has a noticeably darker Ecuadoran wrapper and a strength of 3.5 out of five.
Javier González, head of global marketing at Oettinger Davidoff, said the series brings “the exclusivity of Davidoff” directly to the brand’s flagship stores.
