Arturo Fuente Cigars and its partner Prometheus International are bringing the OpusX Serie “Heaven and Earth” Big Purple Dream collection back to stores, made up of aged cigars from the Fuente family’s reserves. OpusX is one of the most sought-after cigar brands: an all-Dominican blend with a Cuban-seed Corojo wrapper grown at the Chateau de la Fuente farm, produced each year in limited quantities.
The centrepiece is a French-made humidor of okoume wood with a purple sycamore veneer, holding up to 300 cigars and delivered with 110 cigars, ten each of eleven OpusX vitolas. Sixty were made, each individually numbered, at a suggested price of $14,750; half have shipped and the rest follow in December.
For collectors there are also smaller sets, in Macassar ebony travel humidors of ten cigars each ($650-$690), plus a six-cigar selection at $425. The Diadema 60 reaches retailers at the end of October or in the first half of November, and the Purple Rain Torpedo and the six-cigar selection in December.
