Woodford Reserve, one of the best-known names in premium bourbon, has reached 30 years since its market launch in October 1996. The distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, regarded as the oldest in the state and designated a National Historic Landmark in 2000, is marking the moment with two special editions.
The first, available from 7 October, is Distillery Series: Triple Pot Still, a whiskey distilled entirely through the distillery’s three copper pot stills, sold for $64.99. The second, scheduled for 16 October, is a ceramic decanter made by Louisville Stoneware, holding a personal selection of Double Oaked Single Barrel chosen by master distiller Elizabeth McCall. Only 150 will be made. Both editions are sold exclusively at the distillery shop.
McCall, the brand’s first female master distiller, points out that Woodford Reserve bourbon has more than 200 flavour notes. If you want to discover the house style, Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select is part of the Mister Tabaco spirits selection.
