American cigar maker Warped, led by Kyle Gellis, has started shipping Cloud Hopper Black to retailers, a new variation of the Cloud Hopper line that first launched in 2017 in a single size.
The main difference is the wrapper: the new cigar uses a darker Mexican San Andrés leaf, while the filler remains all-Nicaraguan, with tobacco from Estelí, Condega and Jalapa. Unlike the original Cloud Hopper, made at Aganorsa Leaf, the Black version is rolled at the NACSA factory in Nicaragua.
The line comes in two sizes, both in boxes of 25: No. 53, a 5 1/4 x 42 corona ($11.50), and No. 485, a 5 x 48 ($12.50). It is not a limited edition but part of the brand’s regular production.
Cloud Hopper Black is not yet in our catalog, but from Warped’s collaborations you can find Aganorsa Guardian of the Farm Apollo Selección de Warped at Mister Tabaco, or explore the full cigar selection.
