Singapore luxury tea brand TWG Tea opened TWG Tea Gallery, its largest store in the world, on 2 October in Terminal 3 of Singapore’s Changi Airport. The space of about 250 square metres also houses the company’s first tea museum.
The museum displays more than 200 tea-related objects, some dating back to the 17th century, including more than 50 antique Russian samovars and Yixing clay teapots. An entire wall is taken up by over 1,200 tea tins, and the range includes single-estate teas, exclusive blends and accessories. For the opening, TWG created Grand Voyage, a whole-leaf green tea available only here, and introduced Singapore’s first tea-infused ice cream and sorbet concept.
According to CEO Taha Bouqdib, the store brings “the past, present and future of tea” into one experience. The project was developed together with Changi Airport Group.
