Trinidad Vigía Reserva Cosecha 2022: the Cuban brand’s first-ever Reserva

Habanos S.A. has presented, at an event held in Montreux, Switzerland, the newest cigar in its Reserva series: Trinidad Vigía Reserva Cosecha 2022. It is a first for the Trinidad brand, which until now had never had a Reserva or Gran Reserva edition, even though those series have been part of the company’s portfolio for close to two decades.

The chosen format is the Vigía, a short and thick cigar measuring roughly 110 mm with a 54 ring gauge. Production is limited: 5,000 numbered boxes of 20 cigars, plus 5,000 gift boxes of three. The „Cosecha 2022” designation points to the harvest year of the tobacco used; in the Reserva series, Habanos works with leaves aged for several years before rolling, which explains the gap between harvest and release.

The edition follows a wave of commemorative Cuban releases shown in Europe this autumn and confirms the steady collector interest in controlled-production series. To see what is available right now, browse the cigar selection at Mister Tabaco.
