Tobermory Distillery Unveils Four Whiskies for the 2026 Holidays, Including Two “Lores of Mull” Editions

Tobermory Distillery, which has been making whisky on the Scottish Isle of Mull since 1798 and is one of Scotland’s oldest, has prepared a range of four single malts for the holiday season. Two styles are produced under the same roof: the unpeated, fruity Tobermory and the peated Ledaig.

The starting point is Tobermory 12 Year Old (£47), the house’s signature whisky. The limited “Lores of Mull” series, inspired by the island’s legends and presented in illustrated packaging, brings two cask-strength editions: The Whispers of Burg, a 13-year-old Tobermory matured in Amontillado sherry casks (55.6%, £90), and Ban-fhàidh’s Rebirth, a Ledaig combining spirit matured in Bolgheri wine casks and Spanish brandy casks (57.6%, £70).

The most unusual release is Ledaig Castaway (£65), the first Ledaig to marry rum and Tequila cask maturation, intended to add depth to its smoky profile.
