MGP Ingredients, One of America’s Largest Whiskey Producers, Becomes Sempreon

MGP Ingredients, a Kansas company operating since 1941 and one of the most important whiskey suppliers in the American industry, is changing its corporate identity: from November 2, 2026 it will be called Sempreon and plans to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker CASK. The name combines the Latin “semper” (“always”) with the Greek “aion” (“eternity”).

According to the company, the new brand brings its three divisions under one identity: branded spirits, distilling services for other producers, and specialty food ingredients. The Lawrenceburg, Indiana distillery, acquired in 2011, has supplied whiskey to many independent brands over the years. Its own portfolio, expanded through the purchase of Luxco in 2021 and Penelope Bourbon in 2023, includes Rebel, Ezra Brooks, Yellowstone, Blood Oath, Lux Row and El Mayor tequila.

CEO Julie Francis described the change as “the next chapter” for a company that has been building toward it for years.
