MBombay releases two single-run pyramids, rolled in 2019 and 2020

Cigar maker MBombay has announced two limited, single-run cigars: Kesara Pyramid 2020 and MQBA Mayura Pyramid 2019. Both are 6 x 54 pyramids made at the brand’s Costa Rica factory, and together they total 16,600 cigars.

Kesara Pyramid 2020 comes in 834 numbered boxes of 10, with a suggested price of $29.95 per cigar. It has an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, an Ecuador H.2000 binder and filler from the Dominican Republic and Peru. MQBA Mayura Pyramid 2019 comes in 826 boxes at $39.95 per cigar and pairs an Ecuador Habano wrapper with an Ecuadorian binder and filler from Paraguay, Peru and Nicaragua.

These are MBombay’s first sizes beyond its toro and robusto ranges, and the company does not expect to repeat them: only one roller managed to form the shape, and the tobacco came from a single lot, now used up. The cigars have already shipped to retailers.
