Brown-Forman has announced the 2026 edition of King of Kentucky, one of the group’s collector bourbons. It is a 14-year-old single barrel whiskey bottled at cask strength, between 125 and 135 proof (roughly 62.5-67.5% ABV), depending on the barrel.
This year 99 barrels were selected, and production exceeds 7,000 bottles – more than the roughly 5,000 of 2025. The suggested price is $399. Official notes mention orange zest, caramel, dark chocolate and toasted marshmallow, followed by maple syrup, vanilla wafers and baked banana. According to Caleb Trigo, assistant master distiller at Brown-Forman, each barrel was chosen for its exceptional character.
The King of Kentucky brand was discontinued in 1968 and revived in 2018. Today it sits in the group’s collector tier, alongside Old Forester Birthday Bourbon and Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection.
