A new independent bottler from Stirling, Scotland, called HIP and founded by Connor McCartney in partnership with spirits distributor Kilninian Drinks Company, has launched its first collection of four rare spirits, bottled in compact 20cl flasks. The lineup includes a 12-year-old Tomintoul single malt matured in a refill sherry butt, a 13-year-old Bowmore single malt from refill bourbon barrels, a 28-year-old Invergordon single grain from a first-fill bourbon barrel, and a 14-year-old Foursquare Barbados rum matured in bourbon barrels at 53% ABV. All editions are bottled without artificial coloring and non-chill filtered, priced at £19.50 each. According to the founder, the brand’s philosophy is “drinking better, not bigger,” offering an accessible price and format for those discovering premium spirits.
