SPINK Hong Kong auctions the “Havana Hidden Gems” collection of rare Cuban cigars

Auction house SPINK in Hong Kong will hold the “Havana Hidden Gems” sale on November 5, 2026, with 287 lots of Cuban cigars. Its centerpiece is the “A” Collection (lots 1-234), assembled over two decades by a European collector and kept in a walk-in humidor with round-the-clock climate control.

The catalog includes 48 lots of Limited Editions and 58 of Regional Editions. Highlights include the Cohiba Pirámides Edición Limitada 2001 (the brand’s first limited edition), Cohiba Siglo VI Gran Reserva Cosecha 2003, more than 30 Bolívar lots (among them regional editions for Greece, Germany and Benelux, each made in fewer than 3,000 boxes) and a vertical run of Montecristo Edición Limitada releases from 2000 to 2008. The sale also features a Cubatabaco Grand Corona 1492 humidor, launched in 1992 in just 501 numbered pieces.

Bids can be placed in the room, in writing, by phone or online. Price estimates have not been published.

Cohiba Talismán Becomes a Permanent Cigar as Habanos Opens Cohiba’s Anniversary Year in London

Habanos S.A. presented the new Cohiba Talismán in London at an event with around 400 guests, held together with Hunters & Frankau, the UK distributor of Cuban cigars. The cigar also debuted in London, in 2017, as an Edición Limitada, and its success led to a limited reissue two years later.

The news is that Talismán now becomes a permanent part of the Cohiba Línea Clásica, without the limited-edition band. The format remains Sublimes No. 1, 6 1/8 inches with a 54 ring gauge, finished with a pigtail cap. Unlike the limited editions, which used darker wrappers from the upper part of the plant, the new version follows the profile of the rest of the classic line.

At first the cigar is sold in the UK in packs of three, priced at £600, and will later reach other markets in boxes of 10. The launch opens the “Year of Cohiba”, marking the brand’s 60th anniversary, and Habanos promises more to come.
