Bolívar Safari, the First Cuban Regional Edition Dedicated to the Entire African Continent

Petit coronas

The Cuban Edición Regional series, through which Habanos creates cigars for specific markets, is getting a first: Bolívar Safari is the first regional edition designed for the entire African continent. Until now, such releases targeted individual countries or territories, and in Africa only South Africa.

The cigar uses the format known in Cuban factories as Torres: 4 3/8 inches (about 111 mm) long with a 54 ring gauge, the same dimensions as the Trinidad Vigía. It is also the first Bolívar with a pigtail, the twisted end of the cap.

The distributor is Phoenicia Trading, a Cypriot company that imports Cuban cigars into Africa, together with its local partner Zino Abidjan. A total of 16,666 numbered boxes of 12 will be made, nearly 200,000 cigars, priced at about €43 each. The official launch takes place on 21 November in Abidjan, and sales expand to other African countries from December.

Mister Tabaco already carries several Bolívar cigars from the regular range; discover the full cigar selection.
