Altadis U.S.A. has introduced the Saint Luis Rey 30th Anniversary Maduro, the second release in the series marking three decades of the brand. The project continues the collaboration with master blender Christian Eiroa, who created the original Saint Luis Rey blend in 1996. The first anniversary version was presented in April 2026 at the PCA trade show.
The new cigar is handmade in Honduras. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro, the binder is Honduran Corojo, and the filler combines Colombian Pinareño with Honduran Corojo. The line comes in four sizes, with suggested retail prices from $12 to $13.50 per cigar, packed in black-and-gold wooden boxes of 25.
It debuted at the TAA meeting in late October. Distribution will be limited to brick-and-mortar shops in the US, and shipments are expected to begin by the 2027 PCA show. Brand manager Marina Tuntes called the Maduro “a natural next step”.
