Description
In H. Upmann cigars, the finest raw material is used – tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region (Pinar del Rio). The manufacturer uses a mature, single-piece leaf as the wrapper, while the binder is a strong, resilient leaf, and the filler is likewise made from whole leaves. The quality of the raw materials invariably sets the brand apart from its competitors and justifies the high cost of the vitola. The blend includes aromatic essential oils and tannins, which form a certain viscosity. When savouring the smoke, ammonia comes into play, lightly tingling the tongue.
H. Upmann Petit Coronas is one of the finest representatives of the Mareva format.
It’s a beautiful, elegant, medium-sized cigar with a very good roll. It burns evenly and offers an excellent draw from the beginning to the end of the smoke. The cigar has a pronounced, solid and perfectly balanced flavour, which develops in an interesting way while smoking. In the first phase, the taste is slightly sweet, with hints of vanilla and cocoa along with light spicy notes; then nuances of dark chocolate appear, and some enthusiasts detect a cherry aroma. In the third phase, the taste becomes spicier and aromas of wood and leather appear. At the same time, the taste never turns harsh, staying soft until the last puff, leaving a very light and pleasant aftertaste.
