Description
Launched at the Habanos Festival in 2014, the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de San Juan cigar is hand-rolled using only tobacco from the San Juan y Martínez region, the birthplace of the Hoyo de Monterrey brand in 1865. It has a light strength, giving off a rich, aromatic smoke. Before lighting it, holding the cigar in your hand, you’ll pick up aromas of hay, tobacco, wood, mint and dried fruit from the wrapper leaf. First third: the first part of the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de San Juan is very mild, with predominantly woody, herbal and floral aromas at the start. Soft notes of spice, cinnamon, cloves and pepper are also added. Second third: in the middle part, aromas of grass, wood, fruit and tobacco dominate. Notes of roasted nut join in. Final third: in the final third, the cigar’s strength increases. The woody aroma remains dominant, but notes of hay and toasted bread join in.
