Oliva Cigar is expanding the Nub family with Nub México, the brand’s first new line after a break of several years. The cigar was shown at the InterTabac fair in Germany during the week of 14 September and is expected to reach the United States in early October.
The blend pairs a Mexican wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler, and the maker describes it as medium-bodied with a light touch of spice. Production takes place at Tabacalera Oliva S.A. (Tabolisa) in Nicaragua, and the box artwork draws on Aztec heritage.
Two sizes are announced: a 460 (4 x 60) at around $10.83 and a 464T torpedo (4 x 64) at roughly $11.16, the latter exclusive to the US market. Both come in wooden slide-lid boxes of 24. Nub México joins the existing Habano, Maduro, Cameroon and Connecticut lines.
