Jack Daniel’s announced on August 25, 2026, the nationwide U.S. release of its American Single Malt Whiskey — a limited expression previously available only in international duty-free stores. The launch follows the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s recognition of “American Single Malt” as an official whiskey category, the first new one in more than 50 years.
The whiskey is made from a 100% malted barley mash bill, ground, fermented and distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee, then charcoal mellowed using the Lincoln County Process, aged in new charred American oak barrels, and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. The 1-liter bottle, bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), reaches shelves nationwide this fall in limited quantities, at a suggested retail price of $74.99.
