The results of Best of Panama 2026, one of the most closely watched specialty coffee competitions, were announced in early August. The Panama Cup title went to Hacienda La Esmeralda, which gathered 16 points through three top-three finishes.
By category, Altieri Specialty Coffee came first in Varietals, Lamastus Family Estates won the Washed category, and Lérida Estate took first place in Natural. Panama remains a benchmark for rare varieties such as Gesha, and its winning lots regularly reach international auctions at record prices, bought by roasters around the world. The results once again confirm the strength of the family farms in the Boquete and Volcán regions.
