Unicorn Frappuccino Returns to Starbucks and Breaks a Sales Record

Starbucks brought back its famous Unicorn Frappuccino, first launched in 2017, for a single weekend from 15 to 17 August 2026. The Seattle company used the original recipe — a sweet-and-tart blend of creamy mango flavours, a tangy blue drizzle, whipped cream and a pink-and-blue topping that shifts colour as the drink is stirred.

The result: more than 2 million drinks sold across its company-operated North American cafés in a single weekend, with 15 August becoming the company’s best Saturday sales day ever in the region. The beverage was also offered in selected markets across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The return underlines how powerful nostalgia remains as a marketing tool in the coffee business.
