Plasencia Launches Its First Cigar Made From Certified Organic Tobacco From Honduras and Nicaragua

Nicaraguan manufacturer Plasencia Cigars has unveiled Triunfal, a cigar that marks a first for the company: it is their first product made entirely from certified organic tobacco grown in both Honduras and Nicaragua. The wrapper comes from Finca La Tradición in Honduras’ Jamastrán Valley, the binder is grown at Finca San Agustín in Olancho, Honduras, and the filler blends leaves from that same Honduran farm with tobacco from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua.

The production story is as unusual as the recipe itself: the entire run of 50,000 cigars was hand-rolled by a single pair of craftsmen — one roller and one buncher — without involving any other factory workers. Plasencia is one of the oldest and most respected families in the cigar industry, with plantations spanning both sides of the Honduras-Nicaragua border.

Premium cigar enthusiasts in Moldova can find a wide selection of regional brands in Mister Tabaco’s cigars category.
