Description
Quai D’Orsay No. 54 is a novelty launched by Quai d’Orsay, in the Edmundo format.
The cigar looks very good, very modern, has few visible veins and is smooth and pleasant to the touch. The wrapper is a beautiful light brown colour, with a pleasant oily shine. Before lighting, you can pick up the aromas of cedar, tobacco, bread and peppery notes given off by the cigar. The first third starts with light aromas, which become more pronounced as the cigar is smoked. The main notes are cedar wood and vanilla. In the background, a hint of bread floats, with nutty notes. The overall sensation is very creamy, the smoke is very thick, with a persistent aftertaste. The taste is almost like aged cream. Toward the end, the spicy pepper notes are felt more strongly, but don’t dominate. The sensation is very pleasant.
In the second third, the flavour profile is almost identical to the first third. The pepper recedes slightly, and instead a bitterness of leather and strong coffee notes is felt. Toward the end, floral notes appear, typical of the Quai D’Orsay brand. The vitola remains very creamy, and the finish is long and very pleasant.
In the final third, alongside the rich cedar and floral aromas, a sweetness reminiscent of orange blossom honey can be felt. Toward the end, notes of coffee with milk appear, while nutty and peppery notes are still felt in the background.
