Description
The White Elephant Serengeti Grey 12 pipe continues the brand’s distinctive story, whose name references the “white elephants”. After World War II, Robert Maderholz founded a pipe factory in Franconia and began experimenting with meerschaum. Instead of traditional activated carbon, it was ground into fine granules and inserted by hand into filters. The raw material came from Tanzania — so the image of the white elephants and the African inspiration took on symbolic meaning. The name Serengeti evokes the vast savannas of Tanzania and Kenya, where at sunrise and sunset the earth takes on intense reddish tones — much like the expressive texture of the briar used in this series. The model is made in Italy from quality briar, crafted in the classic Bent – Classic shape, and combines tones of brown and black. The acrylic mouthpiece is compatible with 9 mm filters, and the small briar ball built into it symbolizes the “One World” idea. This pipe blends European craftsmanship with African inspiration, creating a harmonious, memorable whole.
