Description
The celebrated Cuban Trinidad brand appeared only three years after its illustrious sibling, Cohiba. For a long time neither brand was sold commercially — they were used only as prestigious gifts for foreign diplomats and Cuban officials. Trinidad cigars were first released for sale in 1998, and then only in limited quantities. The tobacco blend used by the rollers is wrapped in secrecy and legend. Trinidad cigars are known for a wonderful aroma and a refined taste, immaculate hand-rolling, and a smooth, slightly oily wrapper in a pleasant Colorado to chocolate shade, finished with the brand’s traditional pigtail cap.
Esmeralda is the brand’s third vitola, launched in 2019, and the longest among its siblings Trinidad Media Luna and Trinidad Topes. It carries typical Trinidad aromas of cedar, earth, leather, nuts, spice, peppery notes and a pleasant sweetness — and that is not even the full list. It is a very good cigar that, despite its young age, has no bitterness at all. Don’t miss this future legend!
