The Balvenie 18 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask whisky is a refined single malt Scotch from the Speyside region, matured through a double-aging process. The spirit is initially matured in traditional bourbon casks, then finished in casks that previously held sweet Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry, giving it remarkable depth and complexity. The aroma reveals notes of raisin, blackcurrant, oak and fine floral accents of lavender. The taste is rich and velvety, with nuances of fig, tangerine, honey and a lightly astringent grape-skin note. The finish is long and comforting, with elegant tones of dark chocolate and spice.
