Romeo y Julieta Churchills Añejados 2007 is a perfectly aged cigar in the Churchill format, each one delivered in a beautiful aluminium tube, in a box of 25. Every Churchills Añejados cigar is aged in ideal conditions by Habanos for more than 12 years. It’s a substantial, medium-strength cigar with a generous amount of creamy smoke and wonderful aromas of vanilla, iris and cedar. The cigar lights easily, giving off plenty of smoke with no bitterness or harshness. The smoke has a very creamy texture, with hints of toasted almond and coconut. First third: the opening is marked by a strong dry-coconut aroma and a few vanilla notes; there’s a sweetness, likely reminiscent of pastry notes. Second third: vanilla becomes even more pronounced, as do the pastry notes; the sweetness gradually fades, and rich cedar and earthy aromas dominate through the middle of the cigar. Final third: the aromas shift to darker tones, with more earth, tobacco and mushroom; towards the end of the third, pleasant spicy notes of black pepper appear. Romeo y Julieta Churchills Añejados is an excellent, well-aged cigar — smooth and fragrant.
