Description
Partagas Serie E No. 2 is a strong, complex cigar of medium size, in the Duke format. With a high-quality tobacco taste and dominant aromas of earth, cedar, flowers and pepper, this cigar is fairly robust and rich, yet very creamy at the same time. First third: the opening is marked by bold aromas of wood, cedar, leather, tobacco and earthy notes. Herbal and animal-like aromas join in. To tie the aromas together, a lovely creaminess develops, along with hints of moccaccino, citrus and a certain sweetness. Second third: the aromas stay the same as in the first third. The earthiness now grows richer, alongside coffee/moccaccino notes that also stand out. Final third: the Serie E No. 2 shows its true character, being one of the best Cuban cigars. The aromas stay interesting and not too harsh. The creaminess is still present, though not as strong as in the previous third. The main aroma is a combination of honey sweetness and delicate spice. Notes of wood, coffee and hay join in. There are also some dark-chocolate notes, which keep the cigar interesting right to the end.
