Newport disposable filters come in packs of 10 and are specially designed to be attached to a cigarette to effectively reduce tar and nicotine. When the red marking inside the filter disappears, this indicates it needs to be replaced. Any plant extract, such as tobacco, when inhaled from a lit cigarette, produces a tar residue. Although our lungs have a filtering system that removes impurities from the air we breathe, an overly heavy smoker can overload their body’s filtering system, leaving tar deposits in the lungs. The Newport Mini Filter is designed to remove up to 60% of the tar from cigarettes.
