Diplomáticos is a relatively recent brand, dating from the 1960s. It bears a striking resemblance to Montecristo, using numbers rather than names to describe its sizes. All Diplomáticos cigars are Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano — long-filler, entirely hand-made, using a blend of filler and binder tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. Diplomáticos No. 2 has a Pyramid vitola measuring 156 mm with a 52 ring gauge. A size that has proven popular among enthusiasts. It offers a medium-full aroma, starting with a combination of floral and woody notes. It then develops into a richer combination of chocolate, nut and honey aromas.
