In 1880, Alberto Turrent (Te Amo cigars) came to the San Andres Valley in Mexico, where the soil and climate are almost identical to Cuba’s. Since then, the Turrent family’s (Te Amo cigars) wonderful tobaccos, as well as their legendary cigars, have become famous. Tabacalera A.Turrent is located on the south-eastern coast of Veracruz, Mexico. There they grow cigar tobacco to this day, following the growing traditions that began in 1880.
Tabacalera Alberto Turrent (or Nueva Matacapan Tabacos SA) is the largest cigar manufacturer in Mexico. The company currently produces 5 million cigars annually.
