Pipe filters cope well with the condensate that forms inside the mouthpiece, trapping harmful resins and impurities and thereby reducing the negative effects of smoking on the body. Balsa filters are preferred by experienced enthusiasts who like a “straight”, undistorted flavor; however, they are noticeably harsher than when using all other types of filters. It should also be remembered that any filter is used only once.
