Lancaster Spirits Co, an independent distillery in the English city of Lancaster, has announced its first cream liqueur, made with its own single malt spirit and a vegan cream base instead of dairy cream.
The liqueur is 17% ABV and comes in 50cl bottles at a recommended price of £25. Production is limited to 1,000 bottles, which will be available directly from the distillery from this autumn; other stockists are to be announced closer to launch.
The recipe was developed by master blender Max McFarlane and distillery manager Craig Drake. Commercial manager Chris Pateman explained that choosing a vegan cream mattered so that nobody would have to miss out on the product. The launch fits a growing trend of cream liqueurs made without animal-derived ingredients.
The product is not in our catalog, but you can explore the spirits selection at Mister Tabaco.
