Casa Carrillo, the company recently known as E.P. Carrillo and a two-time “Cigar of the Year” winner, is bringing back its limited Battleborn brand, originally created to honor U.S. military veterans. The new version is called Battleborn Heroes and widens the tribute: besides veterans, it honors active-duty service members, police officers, firefighters and first responders.
The cigar comes in a single 6 x 52 size, with a Cameroon wrapper, binders from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, and a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. It is rolled at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic.
Production is limited to 2,000 boxes of 21 cigars, a count that nods to the 21-gun salute. Each cigar is numbered and comes with a Battleborn dog tag. The suggested U.S. retail price is $21 per cigar. The launch starts with events in Virginia, and shipments to American retailers are scheduled before Veterans Day (November 11).
Battleborn Heroes is not available in our store, but you can explore the cigar selection at Mister Tabaco.
