Nestlé has announced a new $1 billion investment in Mexico for 2028-2030, following a meeting at the National Palace between group CEO Philipp Navratil and President Claudia Sheinbaum. According to the president, the previous plan, also $1 billion for 2025-2027, has already been completed, bringing the company’s commitments announced during her term to $2 billion.

Coffee plays a major role: Mexico is Nestlé’s main coffee source worldwide. The company’s Mexican sourcing program has so far distributed more than 72 million seedlings and provides agronomic support to over 2,000 farmers.
