Wyoming Whiskey is releasing Queen of the Tetons Second Edition on 16 October, a limited-edition bourbon dedicated to the grizzly known as “399”, one of the most photographed bears in Grand Teton National Park. At 28, she was the oldest known reproducing female grizzly in the Yellowstone ecosystem; she was killed by a vehicle in October 2024.
The new edition is an eight-barrel blend bottled at 99 proof (49.5% ABV), in just 1,000 bottles. The label features photographs by Savannah Rose and Thomas Mangelsen, and the official tasting notes mention sweetened huckleberry, honeysuckle and coffee cake. The suggested price is $79.99, and $5 from each bottle goes to the park’s foundation for bear conservation programmes.
Bottles will be sold in Wyoming stores and, for the first time, online in most US states. The documentary “399 Forever” is released worldwide on the same day.
