The Ardbeg distillery on Islay is adding a new single malt to its permanent portfolio: Trudernish, a 15-year-old expression named after an old settlement on the island’s coast.
The whisky matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks, ex-oloroso sherry casks and new charred oak, and is bottled at 48.8% ABV. UK reference pricing is around GBP 80 for a 70 cl bottle. The release is set for 15 September, with worldwide online distribution and availability through British specialist retailers.
Alongside Trudernish, the Moët Hennessy-owned brand is also refreshing the packaging across its entire core range. It signals that Ardbeg is strengthening its permanent line-up, after a period in which public attention focused mainly on the annual limited editions.
Mister Tabaco already carries Ardbeg 10-Year-Old, the distillery’s entry expression, alongside the rest of our spirits selection.
