British Chain Black Sheep Coffee Expands Into Three More U.S. States

Black Sheep Coffee, the UK-founded coffee chain known for its bold branding and high-caffeine drinks, is continuing its American expansion with plans for new locations in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The move follows a franchise deal announced in February 2026 for 20 locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area — a clear signal that the U.S. has become a priority market for the British brand.

Black Sheep built its reputation at home around a “high-caffeine” positioning, double-caffeine menu items and an interior design unusual for the specialty coffee segment. The rapid push into the American Southeast follows a pattern increasingly common among European coffee chains, which are targeting secondary U.S. markets — less saturated than New York or California — for faster growth.
