Sonny, the cigar created by actor Chazz Palminteri under his “A Bronx Tale” brand — named after the charismatic mobster he played in the film — is moving from limited edition to a permanent, full-time line. The new series, produced by Epic Cigar at the Charles Fairmorn factory in the Dominican Republic, comes in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), Torpedo (6 x 52) and Gordo (6 x 60), all packaged in 20-count boxes. Unlike the original limited edition, which was box-pressed, the new cigars are round and built with a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over a Dominican binder and Nicaraguan-Dominican filler, delivering a medium-to-full-bodied profile. The move marks the expansion of a celebrity-driven brand that quickly built a loyal following among collectors.
