Cigar brand HVC, led by Reinier Lorenzo, has marked a first for its portfolio: the Pan Caliente de HVC 10th Anniversary Limited Edition, released to celebrate a decade since the line’s debut, is the brand’s first cigar built entirely around tobacco grown in Peru. The new double toro format (6 7/8 x 54) pairs a Habano 2000 wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from both Nicaragua and Peru — including the Peruvian “pelo de oro” (“golden hair”) leaf, prized for its distinctive color and sweet-spicy notes. Pan Caliente originally launched as a 5×50 robusto with a 109-style cap, and this anniversary release both honors that history and expands HVC’s tobacco sourcing beyond its traditional Central American roots.
