Results from the 30th edition of Best of Panama, the world’s most prestigious competition dedicated to Geisha coffee, were announced on August 1, 2026. The winning lots come from the volcanic regions of Boquete and Volcán, known for the high-altitude microclimate that favors the floral aromas characteristic of the Geisha variety.
In the Geisha Washed category, the win went to Elida Estate (Lamastus Family Estates) with 96.25 points, followed by Finca El Pergamino with 96.00 points and the renowned Hacienda La Esmeralda with 95.25 points. The overall Copa Panamá trophy, for the highest cumulative score, went once again to Hacienda La Esmeralda.
Winning lots typically go on to international auction, where top Geisha coffee frequently fetches prices of tens of thousands of dollars per kilogram. Those interested in specialty coffee can explore the selection available at Mister Tabaco in the coffee category.
