Segafredo Zanetti at the Center of a Possible €1.2 Billion Sale

Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group, the parent company behind the Segafredo Zanetti coffee brand, has attracted six bids from private equity funds valuing the group at roughly €1.2 billion. Founder Massimo Zanetti confirmed he would be willing to sell his stake if the terms on offer prove acceptable.

Besides Segafredo, the group also owns the MZB roasting network and the Brazilian brand Café do Ponto. The news comes amid growing consolidation across the global coffee industry, where major players are seeking either acquisitions or fresh capital to grow.

For coffee drinkers, a change of ownership at Segafredo could eventually bring extra investment in quality and distribution, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet. If you’d like to try quality coffee, check out the coffee selection available at Mister Tabaco.
