In 1880, Alberto Turrent (Te Amo cigars) came to the San Andres Valley in Mexico, where the soil and climate are almost identical to Cuba’s. Since then, the magnificent Turrent family (Te Amo cigars), as well as their legendary cigars, have gained fame and recognition. Tabacalera A.Turrent is located on the south-eastern coast of Veracruz, Mexico. There they still grow cigar tobacco, following the growing traditions that began in 1880. Tabacalera Alberto Turrent (or Nueva Matacapan Tabacos SA) is the largest cigar manufacturer in Mexico. The company currently produces 5 million cigars annually.
