Description
One of the oldest brands in the country, still producing high-quality products today. Its vitolas stand out for a smooth, balanced bouquet that is not very typical of Cuban products. They can be recommended both to beginner smokers and to experienced ones. Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey cigars have won many gold medals, images of which adorn the emblem. The first award for a Hoyo de Monterrey vitola was won in 1867 at the Paris Exhibition. Over time, this cigar brand has constantly changed for the better, while only the packaging has remained traditional.
The cigars are made using a fairly complex technology from large-format tobacco varieties, and are entirely hand-made. Vitola enthusiasts will find a not-too-high strength and a refined aroma.
The main flavour dominants are oak wood, plenty of spices, whipped cream, over-roasted seeds and a light saltiness. The vitola offers a dense taste with modulations and a stunning aroma, and in the third phase demonstrates an explosive taste. The impressions are most pleasant!
